Physics Field Trip to IFly Seattle

Newtons law of motion: An object in motion stays in motion unless acted upon by a force. Students learned about the wind tunnel that creates a force strong enough to lift bodies! They had to measure and calculate to find their own terminal velocity. While in the wind tunnel, they were able to test their theory and see how accurate their calculation was. The field trip wrapped up with a demonstration of different weighted objects and the speed of the wind in order to move them. A huge benefit to living in the city is some pretty unique field trips!
