Forming Students for What Matters Most
Why we exist at Seattle Classical Christian School
We invite you to watch this with your child in mind.
This short video shares the convictions that shape our classrooms, our relationships, and the way we form students each day.
If you’re asking what kind of education will serve your child well
At Seattle Classical Christian School, we believe excellent education serves a higher purpose, and that purpose is always connected to who your child is becoming. Through time-tested academics, daily habits of attention and virtue, and a school culture shaped by the hope of the gospel, students are formed to think deeply, love what is true, and serve others well.
Our work with students is steady and relational, rooted in a long view of growth that unfolds over years and is attentive to who your child is becoming over a lifetime.
If this feels like it might be a place where your child could thrive, here are a few ways to explore further.

A few common questions
What grade levels do you serve?
We partner with students and families from early childhood through high school, from Pre-K through 12th grade. This breadth allows continuity of learning and formation across development, and it creates a rare community where younger and older students know one another, learn from one another, and grow up together under one roof.
What makes SCCS different from other Christian schools?
We are intentionally classical in our academic approach and intentionally Christian in our formation. That means we focus on time-tested ways of learning, deep reading and writing, mathematics that builds understanding, and history that gives context, all within a school culture shaped by the Christian faith. Our aim is not just strong outcomes, but deep formation over time.
How does SCCS think about character and formation?
Character is not a separate program at SCCS. It is woven into the daily life of the school: how students speak, how they work, how they treat one another, how they respond to challenge, and how teachers model wisdom, patience, and care. Formation happens slowly, through habits, relationships, and shared life over many years.
What kind of families tend to thrive at SCCS?
Families who value depth over speed, formation over performance, and partnership over convenience tend to find SCCS a good fit. Parents who want to be thoughtful and intentional about their child’s education, and who are willing to walk closely with teachers over time, often resonate most with our approach.
How should we decide if this is the right fit?
We encourage families to visit, ask questions, and take their time. A school is a relational and formative environment, and fit matters. Attending an Info Session, visiting campus, or having a personal conversation are often the best ways to discern whether SCCS is the right place for your child.
