What Makes SCCS Different?

Integrated Learning

Students read original sources, discuss enduring ideas, and connect every subject to God's grand narrative, building lifelong learning, critical thinking, and resilience.

Classical Approach

Our graduates don't just memorize facts. They learn how to learn, think critically, and articulate ideas with confidence and clarity.

Cultivation of Virtue

We care deeply about who our students are becoming, not just what they know. Character shapes every aspect of life, from how we solve problemSchedule a call todays to how we love our neighbors.

Joyful Community

Families partner closely with teachers, creating a warm, supportive environment inside the city they love.

Our Academic Curriculum

  • Our Pre-K program offers a Christ-centered start to learning, blending classical tradition with Montessori-informed methods. Led by a trained Montessori educator, children engage in purposeful, hands-on work that builds focus, independence, and delight in discovery.

Through activities like field trips and baking, students receive personalized instruction that meets each child where they are developmentally. These rich experiences allow children to explore and learn through all their senses while building practical life skills.

With the Gospel at the center, students learn habits of stewardship, honor, wisdom, and self-control through sensory-rich experiences that cultivate curiosity about God's world. Bible study explores God's attributes from A to Z, while foundational skills in handwriting, phonics, and math concepts prepare students for lifelong learning.

    Available in full-day (8:15 AM - 3:00 PM) and half-day (8:15 AM - 11:30 AM) options.

  • Children at this age are naturally curious and eager to learn about the world around them. Our teachers meet students with personalized attention and gospel-centered, joyful learning that teaches both how to learn and how to think.

Students build a rich factual foundation across all subjects while engaging deeply with great literature, daily Bible study, and the arts. Character formation is woven throughout each day as students learn stewardship, honor, wisdom, and self-control. God's Word serves as the lens through which students experience every lesson, with biblical truth embedded into every aspect of learning rather than simply layered on top.

  • Middle school marks a pivotal season as students begin to question, debate, and analyze more deeply. We guide them to reason with clarity through formal logic instruction, helping them spot fallacies and think with care.

As students transition to subject-specific teachers, they engage with classical studies, literature, mathematics, science, and history, drawing meaningful connections across disciplines. Our House System begins in 7th grade, connecting students across middle and high school to foster belonging, leadership, and mentorship through friendly competition for the House Cup.

Students begin the year with an overnight retreat and participate in weekly chapel, creative field trips, and service opportunities that shape both character and community.

  • Item Our Rhetoric School combines rigorous academics with deep character formation, preparing students to think clearly, speak persuasively, and live faithfully. The curriculum centers on great ideas and enduring questions through Socratic seminars that foster critical thinking and articulate speech.

Students can earn college credit through Northwest University in select courses such as Bible, History, Biology, and Pre-Calculus. Over 100 hours of service and an international missions trip prepare students to lead with compassion and purpose.

Meaningful traditions shape both character and community: start-of-year retreats, Protocol Night for cultivating grace and poise, Capstone Trips that bring learning to life, and weekly chapel that weaves together worship and reflection.

    • Daily worship and Scripture memorization

    • Service projects throughout Seattle from Wallingford food banks to Ballard shelters

    • Mentorship that shapes hearts as well as minds description
