CLUBS & ENRICHMENT

After the school day ends, students still have space to explore, connect, and grow.

Throughout the year, students have opportunities to participate in a range of after-school clubs. These are spaces to explore interests, build friendships, and grow in skill and confidence beyond the classroom.

Our club offerings vary by season and by year, shaped by student interest and the unique gifts of our faculty and community. While specific clubs may change, our goal remains the same: to offer meaningful, engaging experiences that extend the life of the school in thoughtful ways.

A Range of Opportunities

From year to year, SCCS has offered a variety of clubs across different areas of interest:

Creative & Performing Arts

Students have opportunities to create, perform, and collaborate through offerings like:

  • Drama Club (including full productions such as Oliver! JR.)

  • Music-based clubs (such as recorder or vocal ensemble)

  • Fiber arts and other hands-on creative work

Athletics & Active Play

Clubs that encourage movement, teamwork, and sportsmanship:

  • Archery Club

  • Dodgeball Club

  • Tennis and other recreational offerings

  • Play Club (Pre-K–6) — a thoughtfully supervised space where students unwind, play, and build friendships through a mix of free play and guided activities

Academic & Skill-Based Exploration

Clubs that stretch thinking and introduce new skills:

  • Coding Club

  • Math Club

  • Strategy-based or discussion-centered clubs (like Books, Brains, & Blockbusters)

Rooted in Community

Clubs at SCCS are an extension of school life: places where students interact across grade levels, build friendships, and try new things in a supportive environment.

Because our clubs are intentionally smaller and community-driven, offerings may shift from year to year. This flexibility allows us to respond to student interest and to offer clubs led by teachers and community members who are passionate about what they teach.

What to Expect

Clubs typically:

  • Meet after school

  • Run in seasonal sessions (fall, winter, spring)

  • Are open to specific grade ranges

  • Are led by SCCS faculty or trusted instructors

  • Require separate registration and fee

Most clubs meet from 3:15–4:30 pm, with details shared in advance of each session.

Stay Connected

Club offerings are shared with families throughout the year as sessions open for registration.

If you’re exploring SCCS and want to learn more about current or upcoming clubs, we’re happy to share what’s planned for the season ahead.
